Lauren Jauregui is an American pop singer and member of the girl group Fifth Harmony. She was born Lauren Michelle Jauregui Morgado on June 27, 1996 in Miami, Florida. Her parents are Michael and Clara Jauregui. She has two siblings, Taylor and Chris. Lauren attended Carrollton School of Sacred Heart in Miami. Recording artist Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake are among her top influences.
CAREER
Lauren Jauregui got her start as a contestant on season 2 of The X Factor USA in 2012. She was 16 at the time. She auditioned with the single “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys. Lauren advanced to the bootcamp after picking up four yeses from the judges. She performed the song “E.T.” by Katy Perry but was later eliminated. She was given a second chance to perform as a member of the group Fifth Harmony. The other members are Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Camila Cabello.
Fifth Harmony’s debut EP, Better Together, was released in October 2013. It peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 and was led by the single “Miss Movin’ On”. Their debut studio album, Reflection, was released on January 30, 2015, by Syco Music and Epic Records. The album sold over 150,000 copies and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It was supported by the singles “Boss”, “Sledgehammer” and “Worth It” featuring Kid Ink. Fifth Harmony released their sophomore album, 7/27, in May 2016. It featured guest artists Ty Dolla Sign, Fetty Wap and Missy Elliott. In December 2016, Lauren collaborated with the songwriting duo Marian Hill on the single “Back to Me”.
