A cat with an unusual winter habit has left people in stitches after he was caught on camera in a now-viral TikTok video.

Shared by @kristinlathers, feline sensation Bruce took viewers by storm with his morning routine. With more than 410,000 views, the video features the curious cat licking condensation off a window while strategically creating a small viewing spot.

The accompanying text overlay reads, "Now that it's cold my cat licks a little view spot on our window each morning, so he can keep an eye on the neighborhood excitement."

Cats, known for their quirky behavior, may lick windows for various reasons. One common explanation is that they are attracted to window condensation, as they enjoy the taste of fresh water and may prefer licking it off the window instead of drinking from a bowl.

Cats may also engage in this behavior due to a liking for the taste or smell of substances on the glass, or simply out of curiosity and as a response to the outside world.

Last year, another screen-licking cat gained viral attention when he was seen tasting the screen of a tablet device that featured pictures of meat.

While the video has brought joy to thousands of viewers, it's crucial for pet owners to ensure their windows are clean and free from toxic substances. Licking toxic cleaning products or other harmful substances off the window can pose serious health risks to cats, so using natural cleaning products is recommended to ensure the safety of curious cats.

In hundreds of comments, viewers on TikTok shared their reactions to Bruce's funny habit.

Becca praised Bruce's commitment to keeping an eye on the comings and goings of the neighborhood. "He's committed to being nosy and I respect that," she said.

Another commenter referred to the cat as a "hydrated judge," while Isabela Rodriguez expressed her awe and called the video "the most precious thing in this world."

"I would wipe my windows clean every morning so she can see," Tai recalled about her cat. "I was too worried that window condensation would hurt her."

Husky owner Claire explained that her pet does something similar too: "It looks much messier but my husky also does this! They would enjoy gossiping for sure."
